O2 Scavenger is a chemical used to reduce or completely remove oxygen from fluids and enclosed spaces to prevent oxygen-induced corrosion. It is also called an oxygen absorber. Used as a corrosion inhibitor in oil and gas production units, packaging, production separation and seawater injection systems to extend the shelf life or service life of equipment.
